I had a date on Saturday to the local ballgame.
I was ok..... until the morning of.
Then I freaked.
Thought I was gonna puke my toenails up.
I cried.
I was shaking so bad I was having trouble with my makeup.
Totally freakin out.
It's a wonder I could drive.
I have not been on a date with me in the same vehicle with a guy since I dated my ex.
And we have been split 13 years.
To.
The.
Day.
I've always met guys (friends, buddies) at places.
So I don't consider it a date.
Even a couple of guys that are buddies and I will go with them in the same vehicle but not romantic stuff.
Just friends hangin out.
This one had the chance of being romantic.
HOLY WHACK BATMAN!
WHAT AM I DOIN?????
A friend told me I could cancel and the guy would understand.
I couldn't. I said I would go. I had the tickets.
Deep breath, slowly release.
PRAY!
I realized that my friend wouldn't have introduced us if this guy was not a nice guy.
My kids were laughin at me.
Of course, we had a good time. He makes me laugh.
I found out he was nervous too.
(It was his first date since his wife passed away several years ago..)
We are even talkin about a SECOND date!!
Told him I don't think I would freak this time....
Oh. My. What to do, what to do..........
Cheers!

Not sure I would even know what to do on a date.
Gald you had a good time and didnt puke up your toenails.
Well, if I were you I'd relax and enjoy the second date. He must like you if he's agreed to one. Have a great time, and chuck those nerves out of the window.
Hey there!
That is awesome and I hope the second date is as good, or better than the first one.
Just thinking about dating (if I was all of a sudden single again) just gives me the willies!
You are so funny! I'm glad it all worked out! A second date? Woo-hoo! You'll have to tell us all about it!
BTW - I "tagged" you in my post today. Come by and see for yourself.
good for you!! One step at a time!!
First dates are so nerve-wracking! I'm glad it went well!
Oh yeah..a lot of us go through this. It's not the same after so long in a relationship is it. But sooner or later we have to suck it up and get on with life...and maybe love. It gets easier...
You go girl! Glad you had a good time.
Good for you, I'm glad you had fun.
