Winston is upset

Layne is packin. packin. packin.

She will be movin to her first own place this weekend.

She tells me Winston is takin off with her stuff. I tell her it's because he is gonna miss her. He will be lost without her.

She looks at me like I have lost my mind.

"Mom, WINSTON, not JACK. Winston!"

(me) Well, he still knows something is up. . . . AND he IS gonna miss you. . .

She rolls her eyes. . .

See, young Moms, nothin changes when they grow up. . .We still hear what we want to and they still think we are crazy. . .

But the funny thing now is-we usually ARE crazy! They DROVE us there!

Kackle today?? Need too makes the world much easier to deal with, especially children, no matter what ages!

My oldest daughter moved out this week. My 2nd oldest daughter is moving into her dorm on the 14th. My baby girl is going to miss her big sissies. Big bro is still there but he aint as much fun.

My power and water and gas bills will go down some. But daddy is gonna miss his girls.

Just wait. The best day is when your kids actually say a comment that YOU once said, OR, when they have a child and start doing something that YOU did to THEM when they were little. Now that puts a smile on your face right there!

My grandson just did something like grownup wrong for the first time, he was threatened with not having his 16th birthday, no license...and it was a pretty minor infraction, not where he should be when he was supposed to be.. my daughter told me about it and she's saying you're just loving this aren't you??? I said yep...but look where the boy came from and COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS!! He is no longer in bad trouble.. LOL

Here's to wishing Layne has a safe and smooth move and that she settles in quickly. I remember the first night I sept in my very first apartment. I bawled my eyes out and cried myself to sleep. (And then I had a party the next night and it was awesome.) Hope you will all still be living close by to one another. - G

Ah, Layne is moving out and Vlad is moving back in... but only for a month before school starts up again. As they say, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger... especially if we're able to kackle about it!

Vencora-Definitely! And they sure didn't take it slow while they were drivin' either!!

Simply Suthern-When the 3 youngest kids moved out, they moved out like that too. They are 2.5 years apart from top to bottom so they were gone before I knew it! I cried and cried. It's different when it is the 2nd or 3rd time though. . .

Pat-Don't ya just LOVE it when that happens!! Even if you can't always smile or laugh out loud, you are doin' it inside!!

TC-Chel is the mother of twin boys that are 9 going on 20! Oh the fun is about to begin! I have to turn my head some days and bite my cheeks to keep from laughin'!

Georgina-She dint even STAY in her apt Saturday nite and was at a party on Sunday! When I first moved out, I was all about that party party party stuff!

CatLady-Hope you have a grand time with Vlad! After raisin' kids we should be called SUPER WOMAN!!
