too much informational emails

Hey you guys!
Have a great weekend? Do you tell EVERYONE in your email list? I have a couple of email buddies that send me UPDATES about once a month.........which I forward over to a friend of mine to let him know what he is missing.......

So being my smart a-leck self. I did my own. I'm not emailing it but I will blog it!!! Here is mine:

Hey everyone,

I know none of you have asked bout my weekend but I feel the urge to let you know anyway.

When I got off work on Friday, I did, um, let me see. hmmm. I guess I think I'm pretty sure I went to WalMart and bought something. Then on the way home I called home to see what they wanted for supper. So I stopped at the local diner and picked up my order.

Then headed home to relax and watch TV.

Then went to bed. And slept.

Saturday morning I woke up.

Made coffee and drank a whole pot.

I did something with someone but I'm not exactly sure what. But hey, since you really don't care, then it ain't important, right? But I need an email to go out to all of you, right??

I talked to my most wonderful children that can do no wrong and just make the world so much brighter just by breathing the air and living on this most wonderful earth. My kids just rock! They are the most talented, smartest, most beautiful, best children that were ever born.

So after that, I ran to the store beause I need to finish up my Christmas shopping. I stopped by the most expensive stores and chatted up all the personnel and told them all about how much money I have and what I am giving every one on my lists! And my gosh my list is LONG too!

Now I went home afterwards with my car loads to the gils! And then I had to unload my presents by myself because all of my wonderful and happy family were all gone doing their most expensive Christmas shopping for all their wonderful and delightful friends.

I almost couldnt wait to get to the bathroom! I had had so many Starbucks that I almost wet my pantss! Imagine!

Saturday night I went to bed. And slept. I was EXHAUSTED.

I dreamed of some super wonderful hunk of a man, that did all my laundry and cooked up the most delicious meals.

Sunday morning I woke up. Darn it! Right at the good part too! hmph.

I made coffee again and drank a whole pot. Oh sure I shared with other family members but I mean by my self I drank a whole pot. Which made me to the bathroom LOTS!

I cleaned the house too. Swept and mopped, vacuumed and washed 16+ loads of clothes. Changed all the sheets on the beds. Washed blankets and bedspreads. Dog beds. Fed and watered them too. Then slaved over a hot stove and made some candy while waiting for clothes to dry.

Then relaxed and watched tv.

Went to bed. And slept. And probably farted in my sleep.

Monday morning I woke up. Got up, turned the coffee on, took my shower, got dressed, put my makeup on, blew my hair dry. Prolly went to the bathroom too. I'm not sure I was pretty sleepy. I had such an exhausting weekend.

Well, that was my weekend. Hope you enjoyed yours as much as I did mine.

Hugs and lots of love..........

Of course some are not as detailed but some just about are! I wonder why ANYONE would send emails like this out. Just amazes me. I have close friends that we tell each other stuff but we never get as detailed as some of the emails I get about kids and people I do not know. OR WANT to know. I know Iknow this is how blogs came about. But even all the blogs in blogger land that I have read are not like these emails.

If you want to know about my weekend, you ask. IF I want to know about yours, I will ask. Believe me. I will promise. And I promise NOT to tell you when I go to the potty. Unless you really want to know or you are there with me. ON THE PHONE! Come on! I do not need my hand held honest! I can go by myself.

And now those of you who know my awesome, snarky son, Michael, now know where he gets his snarkiness. . . It comes naturally. It's in the jeans or genes, whichever way you wanna look at it. I got it from my parents. All both of them. I grew up in a snarky family. My kids grew up in a snarky family. We are snarky. I try not to be snarky. But sometimes it just OOOOOOZES out of me..........

Well maybe you got a kackle out of this! I got a kackle out of writing it. Really. . .

Happy Birfday Thom!

There are few friends here that I have known longer or kept in touch with as I have Thom and Merrie.

We met back in March 1991 through the latest and last ex. Through thick and thin we have remained friends.

Thom had a birfday last week and for the first time in almost 19 years I did not call or send a birfday message. (Normally, I call when I know they are not home and sing a VERY BAAAAD Happy Birfday.)

I saw them last night and they told me they noticed I had not called. So Thom got an extra hug!

These folks taught me how to laugh. Thom has played so many jokes on me I have lost count and cannot remember them all. (He probably can though.)
I love these two people like they were born in my family. And to me they ARE my PICKED family.

As I was going through pictures the other day, I found this. They had come over for Layne's graduation cook out and we were sitting in a circle laughin and cuttin up.

Happy Birfday Thom! Thanks for all the laughs and love over the years!!
As always keep kacklin makes for happy memories!

Wednesday Wickedness

I have never, EVER, done one of these but I read Toni's and thought it would be fun.

She told me to go to Wednesday's Wickedness to join. So I did. .

If I remember correctly these are Julie Andrews quotes that questions were added.

Picture from CBS News website

1. “All love shifts and changes. I don't know if you can be wholeheartedly in love all the time.”

Have ever felt that you’ve been in love with someone constantly over a long period of time?

Ah no. That's why I can't stay married or in a relationship.

2. “I am an optimistic lady.”

How optimistic are you?

I'm so optimistic that if you are not as optimistic as me I want to rip your head off.

3. “I don't think today's younger audience... would even know what 1920s musicals were like.”

Do you have any knowledge of 1920 films or musicals? If yes, any favorites?

I love black and white movies but not sure if the one's I like are from the 1920's, more like the 1940's or 50's.

4. “I hate the word wholesome.”

Play word association. I say “wholesome” and you say:

Goodness

5. “I have always wished I could learn to be a potter. I love collecting ceramics; it would be so fulfilling to create something lovely.”

What have you always wished that you could be?

An artist. Drawing, painting, potter, just a creator of things.

6. “Perseverance is failing 19 times and succeeding the 20th.”

Tell us about something that you had to persevere through.

Does being a single parent count?

7. “Some people regard discipline as a chore. For me, it is a kind of order that sets me free to fly.”

How do you define your self discipline?

Pretty much non existant!

8. “Sometimes opportunities float right past your nose. Work hard, apply yourself, and be ready. When an opportunity comes you can grab it.”

Have you ever missed a golden opportunity?

I'm sure I have but I can't think of any right now. I can think of several opportunities when I should have turned and walked  ran away and missed that opportunity, but golden, not really.

9. “In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun. You find the fun and... SNAP! The job's a game!”

Have you ever had that perfect job that was always entertaining?

I have that job now. It is not always 'entertaining' but I have the best boss and a great group of people I work with.

10. “Sometimes I'm so sweet even I can't stand it.”

Has anyone ever considered you as sweet?

Ok, hold on. I have to get back in my chair. I fell out of it laughing. uh, no. Onery? Yes, Sweet? NO!

Jewel sings

Jewel has become one of my favorite singers. I love her voice but Ave Maria and Gloria are most awesome!

Ave Maria

Gloria

I hope you enjoy.

May you have a joyous day today! And of course Kackle while being joyous!

Yesterday becomes Today

Yesterday I was told my life is aging me.

Yesterday I was told I looked worn.

Yesterday I locked myself in my office and cried for a solid 5 hours.

Yeterday I had my feelings on the cuffs of my shirt.

Yesterday I went to wally world.

Yesterday I got new make up.

Yesterday I got a new hair color.

Yesterday I got bangs again.

Yesterday I went to sleep.

Yesterday is over.

Today is a new day.

Today I am just as old and worn as yesterday.

Today I remember using the rock and chisel to form words on a tablet.

Today I remember using the abacus to count.

Today I remember walking 10 miles to and from school uphill in the snow both ways.

Today I remember riding a bike with one speed.

Today I remember black and white console televisions.

Today I remember wearing skates with keys.

Today I remember putting playing cards on my bike to make it rumble.

Today I remember getting one of the first color televisions.

Today I am kacklin over being old and worn.

Today is a new day and it is glorious!

Today, why don't you kackle over yesterdays?

Hugs!

Cookin' with the Grands

Today was an afternoon of makin cookies with the grands. The twins and Kasey. 10 & 11 perspectively.

I have figured it out. They want to MAKE the cookies and CUT them out. Drop them on the pans. Lick the bowls. BUT they really do NOT want to ice them! Or EAT them. CLEAN up. (AND let me tell ya, we make a BIG mess!!)

When it was time for all that part, they disappeared out into the back yard.

The making is the fun. Cookin is the fun part. Nothin else. The twins don't even want to take any home! Kasey did, she took iced and the chocolate chips! YAY! Not so many to tempt me!!

Any one want some cookies? I think I still have a dozen or 4 here!

Good kacklin fun this afternoon! Well, that is until I ran into Gabe's cheek with a hot cookie sheet as he was comin my way. Poor kid! He has a red line on his cheek! I immediately put Vitamin E on it and it doesn't look as bad as it coulda.

But other than this horrible incident, all was good. I cried, he cried. I cried some more. He cried some more. Then we got better. Hugs and kisses make us all feel better when bad things happen, I guess.

Anyway, laugh your way through the rest of the day!

The Moon from my yard

No words are needed.

WELL, other than: CAN YOU HOLD THAT CAMERA STILL?!?!?!?!?!!?? I tried. Really.

HAHAHAHAHAAA!! I got dizzy tryin to take these pictures and not breathin.....

So I fell on the ground and got these:

Later that night, Mic found a LIVE snake on the back porch. . .

Made that the LAST time I laid in the yard in the dark. . . .

yeah buddy. . .

Kackle will ya? So I will know it was alll worth it!! Itchy grass and the smell of . . .dog dung. . . .

IM's with self

This was an IM to my friend today. I was bored. REALLY bored. So while she was away, I made up a story. Just a little short one.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ok i'm bored again and you seem to be working........
this is no fun talking to one's self.
see i do that all the time.
everyone, INCLUDING YOU, ignore m.e.
so i have to just sit and drink coffee and chat with me, myself and i.
gets boring doing that sometimes so me starts an argument with i and then myself gets into the middle of that to shut them up and and and then gets pissed off and pouts and wont talk to anyone. then me and i feel bad that they have pissed off myself to the point of her ignoring THEM.
so they all go to their own rooms and now it is boring again......
whmph
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

she cracked up when she got back. . .

hope you do too. it's good to kackle. . . really. especially me, myself and i  . . . .

Leapin Lima

During one of our meaningful meals, Mic and I had lima beans. It was about my third forkful that I lost it. Or so Mic thought.

I had to cover my mouth with my hand because I almost spewed half chewed beans across the table. (At this point he is lookin at me like I've lost my ever lovin mind, which after I tell you what got me ta kacklin you'll agree with him too, I'm sure.)

I was bitin down on my fork when outta my mouth leaped the lima! Back to the plate.

Ok, no biggie, you say. It just fell out.

Well, not the way it looked from here!  From here, it LEAPED. Yup, that's whut I said. LEAPED!

It LEAPED fer it's life!!! LEAPIN LIMA'S!!
doodle by Micael (I can't doodle)

Screamin all the way to the plate.

AAAAAAAAAEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Pllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz don't eat me!!! PLEEEEZZZZZZZZZZ!!!"

So when I can catch my breath long enough to tell Mic about my mind's eye.

He gives me a look of: Oh great. . . here we go again. . .eyes rollin. . .the whole nine yards. . .

Which starts me off again. Snortin, kacklin, chokin, breathin, snortin, etc. . .

Til finally, I breathed and dint choke or snort. . .which was about 15 minutes later. .

Of course Mic is makin snide comments that keep me goin, but for the life of a lima, I cain't remember ANY!!

I'm thinkin I ain't eatin lima's any more. .

I could choke to death next time. . . either from laughin or from the lima retaliation. . .

Do NOT kackle while eatin, it's dangerous. . .

BUT any OTHER time is fine, in fact, is the BEST time to kackle!!

The Simplest Picture. . .Really

I found this frame at work. It was notched and was in hiding. No one wanted it. I brought it home to see if I could put scratch remover on it and cover the notch.

Not really.

So over in the corner it goes. Waitin, waitin, waitin.

One day I'm in the garage lookin for something. Can't find much of anything of mine since kids have moved in, moved out, left stuff, more move in and move out and leave stuff.

But I run across a piece of material that I thought was rather cute. Only thing. It is about 18-20 inches tall and about 24-25 long.. What can ya do with THAT??

Well, make a picture.

I cut the fabric, tape in on the picture board, put it all together THEN decide to sand and beat on it.

Did I tell you it had glass??

It still does too. Even after all that. Here it is. Layin on my floor. It is now in a corner. I dunno where to put it.

I love it.

A Dog's Life

My dogs have such a hard life.

They get cold. We turn the heat up. And move their beds in front of the fire.  .

They get hot. We turn the cool down. And we move their beds under the ceiling fans. .

They want to sleep on the couch. We cover it in blankets. (Well we had to after the black and white one, Jack dammmit chewed a hole in one  of those cushions he is laying on. .)

We want the lights on, they cover their faces, and bodies, with couch pillows.

(That is a basset under there. Legs and tail on one end and nose and mouth sticking out the other end. . . Sorry for the blur, I was laffin. . . . and she heard me and moved . . .)

They want the recliner to sleep in. We oblige.

We love our babies.

All 950 THOOOOOUUUUUSAND of them. Actually only 6. (Doesn't sound so bad this way. . .) But still. . . (in my mind I hear that like that guy on Wheel of Fortune: Kaitlyn won 36 THOOOOOUUUUUSAND dollars!!)

They are ROTTEN!!! ROTTEN!! ROTTEN!!!

and i made them that way. . . .

And as always, do some Kacklin today. At me and my ROTTEN dogs, is fine too! We do that alot at our house. . .

My drawings

The Eagle

Tiger's Eye

The Lone Wolf

Hazel

The Hawk

The Rose

My final drawing in art class

Hands of wisdom
This is pretty much it. I usually draw something for someone and give it away. Just like the ones I'm workng on now. They are going to my niece, Becky. They are of her daughter. The wolf went to my Mom. Hazel went to her Mom. I drew the grands in the beginning of learning and they are at their house. I have no drawings here. They are hung at my office.

This is a painting I did last year. It reminds me of a rain drenched window looking out at a little creek or something. Of course, it didn't start out as a rain drenched window or a creek......it was just colors.

This is my hobby. Hope you enjoy.

And as always, KACKLE while you look!

My Art Swap has arrived!!

This is the coolest! The picture of the stairs is mine. I painted it 5-6 years ago. I felt it was lonely on the wall by itself but didn't really have anything to put with it. So it hung alone.

Until Thursday. And now it has company. My art swap came from Australia from Trace @ Soewn Earth. This is the most amazing piece. She also sent a card too. It is the coolest too and when I find the right frame I will frame it. But for now it hangs with it's envelope with Trace's and my art and a metal bowl I found.

The art is 3 pieces of felt like material that has these designs on them. It is soooo soft! The designs are in the material.

The card is on cardboard like material with other pieces of fabric glued on there. It is all very touchy feely! I guess I need closer pictures of this! DUH!! Well, until then enjoy my new art wall!

This is also special because she has the name of my oldest daughter, Trace.

Happy Happy Happy day!!! Wooohooo!! Life is good!! My wall is complete!!

I've been kacklin and grinnin for two days!! Hey, hope you do too!!

Conversations

I talk a lot.
Honest.
MOSTLY to myself.

Usually they go like this:

I'm playing Bookworm on the couch in the livin room.

Michael is in his room right off the living room.

"Hey did you know that gliverly is not a word?"

"Wow neither is riges."

"They won't even allow COON! "

FINALLY a response:

"i m a g i n e. . . ."

"WOOOHOOO!! I just got 1250 points!!"

"y a y."

"Hey do you know if The Good Wife is on tonite?"

(sigh) "n o."

"Do you care?"

"nooot really."

"Want some coffee?"

"sure." (at this point anything to get me to shut up and go to another room.)

Those are my conversations.

If we are in the same room, it becomes looks instead of words.

Head tilted, one eyebrow raised, lookin at me like "You're kiddin, right? No one is that dumb."

I give him a full teeth smile!

He loves me.

Really.

I'm positive.

Sigh. Yeah, he does.

And I love him.

Mom's are like that ,ya know? Really we are!

Michael's gonna ship me off

Michael did not want to go do anything yesterday.

SIGH. . .

We FINALLY got to go to Dollar Store. YAY!!

Today, I wanted to go to town and go by Petco and Sears.

Didn't he want to go?

no.

I won't be long, just ride with me, ok???

no.

I'll buy you a coke!! (Big smile!)

no.

OOKK, you can take winnie. OK??

no.

Ok, let's go get those ornaments at the Dollar Store and stop and get a mini blizzard from Dairy Queen!! Huh huh huh? (smilin)

no.

So you don't want to go? (Standin in his door)

no

I walk to the middle of the livin room, "So how bout now? Wanna go now?"

No.

Get to the front door, "How bout now?"

No.

I open it and go out. Close door. (He thinks he's off he hook now. Has prolly breathed a sigh of relief that I have gone.) I open door and say "What about now?"

NO!

I go by myself. It's not as much fun by ones self. So I didn't stay gone long.

He's gonna miss me tomorrow. When he's here and it's all quiet.

ALL DAY LONG AND MOST OF THE NIGHT. CUZ IT'S MONDAY NITE SCHOOL.

Yup yup yup, he's gonna be missin me.

Fure shure.

Kackle a little here and there. Does a body good and aggravates the daylites outta somebody! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!

And the left over paint goes here. . .

Soooo here is what I did with the left over paint from the artswap picture. . .

Again I was going to make a sail boat. .

For some reason I am thinking sail boat is not in my near future.

I think this looks like a nighttime picture of the woods. . and yes this is another touchy feely picture. Those branches were already there and I just happend to think: Oh a branch. . .

Have a great weekend! Kackle when you can!

Artswap pic

This year I am branchin out ya'll! I actually did a paintin and gave it to someone I din't even know! Michael got me to participate in the Artswap this year.

I love to paint and draw as you guyes know. I had the correct size canvas here, I had paints. I had an idea. I wanted to do another sailboat picture. I had done one when I was a kid before I quit painting and for some reason I wanted to do another one.

So I picked up one of the canvases that I had already had made the background funky. Started painting the sky blue, like the clouds. I opened my white tube of paint and it was stopped up. So I sqqqqquuuuueeeeezzzzzzeeeedddd and plop. . . a big ole spot of white had pooped out. I thought. hmmm, this is the sun. and I added a little yellow and more white. Already had a blue water line. Then I let it dry. I work in oils. So it take a day or 6 to dry.

I walked back by a few days later and decided it was dry enough but it needed something. So I pulled out the green and made trees. Then added some white/yellow and gave them highlights.

I let it alone.

Came back the next day and I thought. This reminds me not of water but of the mountains in New Mexico at night.

Here is what it looked like.

It's a touchy feely painting. Those are my favorite kinds. I hope the person that gets it likes it.
Anyway for all you artists, David Pringle has this every year. So get ready for next year.

Have a jolly good kackle letting ideas come to mind!

My Little Town. . .

My little town is tiny. Really. Maybe 2000. Maybe.

Some things they are not really Johnny on the spot about. Like loose dogs. Holey roads. Mail service that gets your mail to your house. Water supply that gets water to  your house each and every day that is drinkable, or even running, through the house pipes, not in the street.

Some things they are extremely fast on. Like shutting your water off when it isn't paid because the mailman didn't deliver your water bill OR the cut off notice to YOUR house. AND because you guessed on the amount since you didn't get your bill, they will keep it shut off for THREE days over $5. . . Seriously. . . It happened.. . Call on a possum living under the house next door and you get a call in 20  minutes from "Animal Control" telling you not to worry because they won't hurt you and they are NOT coming to get it. Call about a street light out on one of the main streets and they are there in 10 minutes and in 20 it is working again.

Cut the dead irises down and your ghosts and neighbors hate you. Until next year when they bloom again.

And after three years I'm beginning to get mail for the other lady in my town with the same name. It has taken them three years to find me. When I get a call from a stranger telling me that they have found my wallet in the middle of the highway, I find the Other Me's phone number and give it to the guy. Also telling him that she is the song leader at a local church if that number doesn't work. But at least I'm a good neighbor. I have now looked her up and found her addess and phone number to forward inquiries to and put it in the back of the phone book. Maybe next time she will get the baby shower invite in time to go. . .

The town I left had one too. We used the same banks. EVERY TIME. I changed, she changed. She changed, I changed. We have good taste, I guess.

I follow me all over it seems. Even in small towns.

From one to THOSE Moms to one of THESE MiMis

When my kids were younger, granted MUCH younger, I was one of those moms that if you breathed and I was worn out, you close to dying. OR was one of those that let you ride in the trunk, getting there thru the back seat, and did circles in the parking lot while you were screaming for more . . .

From one extreme to the other.

These days, I am that MiMi. The one that lets grands scream in the car.

Peyton is just barely 3. We ride to my house and she does not always get her way, imagine, huh, and she will start that little cry. I do a bigger little cry. She does a bigger bigger little cry. . . and snickers. . . so I change the sound. . . she changes the sounds. . .  and on we go. . . getting a decible or ten higher each time. . .

Needless to say. . . she has forgetten she did not get her way.  . .

I am also that MiMi that teaches the grands new words. . .

Like when MiMi does NOT understand what was said and thinks what is said is "look at this $*it Valve" instead of "look at this SHIP BOW" . . .

So now I have taught them a new cuss word. Their Momma is gonna be sooo proud of me. So instead of a** hole it will now be $*it valve. . . Not sure which she is gonna prefer. . .

So NOT like the Momma she had when she was their age. . .

Well, now that you are kacklin, I am going to get the boys ready to meet their Momma and Antie for a birfday dinner in town.

Have a kackling good weekend!
