i'm in a funk

yep, a funk. a deep gray funk.

i hate the no sun. makes for gray days. i HATE gray days.
i can do cold, if there is sun. no sun. no can do.

i just wanna curl up in the recliner with a book. cup a hot tea. AND NO FREAKIN DOGS.

don't get me wrong, i love the little piles of poop but some days i want them to go visit their dad. for the weekend. or winter vacation.

a clean living room. yard. bedroom. no magizines torn up, no lookin for my slippers. or the dog beds. or the toilet paper. (all of which usually end up in the back yard. well except the dog beds. they are too big for the pet door. so wonderful to come home on a rainy day. just wantin to get outta my boots and into my slippers. only to find them in the middle of the back yard soppin wet. loverly. just loverly. makes me feel warm and fuzzy. usually seein red. sizzlin hot.)

wow. what a concept.

i haven't had that in, well, let me see. . first, there were babies beginnin 33.5 years ago, then as the last of those were in their teens, it was the twin grands, and then the pooper's came during that period. humph. OH MY GOSH! (as realization dawns on me)

MY HOUSE HAS NEVER BEEN CLEAN!

yep, a funk. a real freakin deep, gray, cloudy funk.

where's my wine? (cool picture, huh?)

or a bud light? (looks like someone wadded up the label)

how bout a miller lite? ( i dunno what this one looks like, except that some one had waaaaay too much to drink!)

WELLL, anyway, kackle a little today. does a mind goood!! cheers fellow bloggers!! have a cuppa tea with me in front of the fire! i know i know i have no fireplace but i do have a little gas heater! HEHEHEHE!! =0D

Hey KaLynn, pretty gray here too but I did pick up a nice 1950's wicker love seat and matching chair off of someone's front walk this afternoon with a big FREE sign on them, brightened my day, now if only Summer would hurry up, I could put them out on my front porch and sit back with a nice cup of coffee enjoying the view! Oh well, only 6 months to go!

I get that. Both dogs are at the trainer and it is such a relief to not have to take care of them and my house is actually so clean!! No dog crap everywhere!

Ah yes, the funk. Been there, done that. But it always goes better with hot chocolate filled with marshmallow, cozied up on the sofa watching a good movie.

Hey Deb! I'm jealous! I love to find stuff like that! Do you feel like a kid in a candy store today?

Hey Lee, I have one in renal failure and lately all I am finding is puddles on my wooden floor. I have gone through a roll and a half of paper towels and 2 bottle of Tea Tree Oil and water in the past week! I'm ready to scream.

OH Matty! Hot chocolate sounds absolutely wonderful, but can I have whipped cream instead? Got any good movie recommendations? I have a free weekend coming up!

I'm so proud of you for drinking tea! It cures almost every ill!

Mind you, I'm finding the cold up here in Indiana a *wee* bit difficult to cope with. But like you, it's the greyness that gets to me.

Grey days are my bete noir!

Time for another cuppa, I think!

Hey Richard! Glad to have you aboard! Love the Santa Clause Indiana blog! I can't even imagine cold like you are having cold. Texas is warm. New Mexico, where I grew up was cold. And snow. yuk. I'll take Central Texas anyday. Well until those 6 inch flying water bugs decide it's time to appear. Then I'm ready to high tail it outta here!

I'm learning to like all kinds of hot tea. I think Stash Teas are my favorite. I was not an Earl Grey tea person until I had some Stash EG. I love it!

Cold, rainy, gray days are hard. I've done better this year with those kind of days. I don't know why, but I don't need to know - only that a succession of them doesn't taking me over the edge anymore.

Maybe the blogging is helping. It takes up any space that I need to fill. :)

Wishing you sunny days.

It's days like this that I love to bake, call it aroma therapy. If I wasn't so lazy I would head to one of those tanning bed places and go for a fake & bake to snap out of the gray cloud.

Enjoy your tea. I am a fan of Decaf Red Rose tea.

Enjoy your tea and warm heater. The sun will be out tomorrow!

Take a warm bath, dance to your favorite music, watch a good movie, eat something comforting and soon the funk will pass.

I can totally relate (except for the dogs - mine's too little to do those things). I need sunshine, too!

No sun today. BUT Monday it is suppose to be 70! then 2 days later 28. That's Texas for ya!

Christmas music is my favorite! I am such a sucker for it. Bought another cd today!

I think I need to turn all the lights on in the house!!

Gray days just make us appreciate the sunny days that much more!

And who cares about a messy house? Life is short!
