I'm soo excited!!

I'M SOOO EXCITED!! I HAVE A THERMOSTAT HEATER!!!

First a little history here: I bought a little 2 bedroom home with no central heat or air last year. (I got a great deal as the family just wanted to get rid of the house. I have been doing a little remodelin' for the past year and a half. Well, not the half but the first year. I got tired of hurtin' myself. Droppin a cordless drill with a phillips bit on your little toe takes a while to heal. and Yes, the bit is what went into my toe. Then the week before I smashed my thumb so bad that I still have a tender place on my thumb. So the bathroom still needs the top of the door facin' and baseboards. Like an hour of work and I can't seem to get it finished. They are all painted too.)

But anyways. This 1300 sf home has been heated for the past winter and this winter with a little bitty Dearborn Heater, like this one:

This little baby was in my kitchen. The larger one that was in the living room leaked. So it was unusable. We used little electric heaters all last winter for the living room and the bedrooms.

But last month I ran across this baby and it was a great price and I bought it. Yesterday it finally got hooked up!

AND MAN OH MAN! I have a warm house!!

Yes that is Crystal in her little dog bed. There are two more in front of the fire but she doesn't like to give up her bed even for a dreaded picture. Especially by the fire! Harlie likes to run her out every once in a while. This is what THAT looks like:

Same bed. She has a bigger bed but she likes this one.

Now we have HEAT!! AND I don't have to light the fire every day!! It's sooo great!! Now everyone is waaaaarrrmm no matter where we are!!

Merry Christmas!

Kackle today! It does a body good!!

Nikke-You betcha!! It felt good not to have to run the little electric heater last nite!! I feel like I've moved on up!! HEHEHE!!

Lee-actually it is my son with the Bassett. But I'm gonna have a hard time when he moves and takes her with him. She's my big snuggle bunny where ever I am!

I can feel the warmth and coziness of your house by the pictures of the dogs snuggled in the bed, and by the happy sound in your "voice." Enjoy!
Merry Christmas to you, too!

Is it just me, or is it snowing over here at your place. I see roving spots before my eyes! I hope it's some Kacklin' magic and not an indicator of a necessary trip to the optometrist. But enough of that... Congrats on the new heater... the perfect solstice gift to yourself!

Thanks Anita!!

CatLady-It IS snowin at my place!! Don't take a trip yet!!

Dutch Donut Girl-Oh yeah!! I think they like the fake logs too! Harlie will probably try to take them outside at some point!

No wonder they're all cozied up in front of it. I would be too.

Merry-Merry!

Oh the Elves!!! I love those silly things! I remember those from when we were all little bitty! You didn't have those out last year - did you? I'd forgotten all about them.

that toe thing just made my toe hurt! i'm still picturing a little "x" mark imbedded in your toe!

why is it that we buy our dogs these awesome little (expensive) beds and they want nothing to do with them?! makes me crazy.

i'm stalking you back!

Hey Everyone! Thanks for all the comments!! You guys make my day!! We all huddled around the fire last nite. Wind Chill was 18! Even for here that is cold. I know I'm a wuss!! And yes my poops are very spoiled! Their bed are in a half circle in front of the fire as we speak!

Jason, thanks for stopping by! I will definitely check out you page!

Merry Christmas to all and stay warm and safe! Hugs to all!!
